Butter Is Amazing For Luscious, Kissable Lips
Women spend a lot of money on cosmetics, especially the products used on our lips. The list includes lipsticks, lip gloss, lip balms and so much more — but using all of these items do not guarantee that you will get healthy, beautiful lips. In fact, it is the opposite, as layering too many products may make your lips chapped or dry.
Be sure to exfoliate. Use a baby brush with soft bristles to exfoliate your lips gently every morning. This will remove the dead cells on your lips. Never use a regular brush, as it is very harsh which may damage your lip texture further.
You can also exfoliate your lips with a napkin or a soft cloth. My trick is, before applying lipstick onto your lips, smother your lips with Vaseline or lip balm. Then get a soft cloth and gently wipe your lips. This works wonders especially if your lips are dry and cracking.
Another way to exfoliate your lips is to use homemade scrub! Just mix in some sugar, olive oil or honey.
You’re done exfoliating your lips, what’s next?
Moisturise. No one likes to have chapped lips, so pick a good lip balm with enough SPF protection to protect you from harmful sun rays which will prevent from pigmentation. Moisturise your lips in the morning, at night, before applying lipstick or anytime you feel that your lips need some hydrating pick me up.
Personally, I love putting butter on my lips at night before I sleep. Plus, it’s a yummy treat for my lips too! Although you might want it to dry off a little before sleeping or you might stain your sheets.
If butter is not your thing.. Use oils instead. You can use coconut oil, olive oil, Vitamin E or even coco butter before sleeping. Do these steps, and you’ll definitely be on your way to get beautiful, healthy, luscious and kissable lips in no time. #XOXO
