- Dolittle (2020)
For his recent movie—which adapted from the popular children’s book series by Hugh Lofting, Downey played an eccentric veterinarian who can talk to animals! Interesting. He is forced to sail to a mythical island, in search to find a cure for a young Queen. To make it more fun, he is joined by a young apprentice, and his coterie of animal friends; a gorilla, a duck, an ostrich, a polar bear, and a parrot!
2. Sherlock Holmes (2009)
If you’re into detectives, you’ll like this one. For this box office movie, Robert Downey played the role of the legendary Detective Sherlock Holmes, whom along with his partner, Dr John Watson, engaged in a battle of wits and brawn in order to solve a strange and mysterious case of a serial killer who ‘’raised from the dead’’. Amid all the chaos, his former lover, Irene, also made a shocking appearance—with a secret agenda!
3. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (2005)
Ah, another crime-mystery film starring Robert Downey Jr, but this one with a breath of comedy. After witnessed a murder case, Robert Downey who played the character Harry, and his friend, Perry—a private investigator, decided to investigate about the female victim inside the car. They later discovered that she was a sister to an actress named Harmony. Now, Harry, Perry and Harmony must come together to solve this mysterious case. Oohh!
4. Iron Man
Big man with a suit of armour, take that off, what are you? ‘’Genius, Playboy, Billionaire, Philanthropist’’. Welp, he may be gone from the Avengers but he will always be the hero of our hearts. This one needs no introduction—from 2008 to 2019, Robert Downey Jr carried a remarkable legacy with this fictional superhero role created by Marvel. We love you 3000.
