Mariah Carey’s Mother Faces Horrific Sexual Abuse Allegations By Mariah’s Older Sister

With Mariah Carey’s autobiography set to be released next month, it seems like another person carrying the Carey name may be taking the spotlight until then. In an exclusive reveal to The Sun, older sister of Mariah Carey, Alison Carey, has filed a lawsuit against their mother, Patricia. According to the 58-year-old Carey, Patricia is said to have forced Alison to “perform sex acts on strangers” as well as watch “children being abused and even stabbed during sick satanic rituals”.

Part of the lawsuit reads:

Defendant, who is Plaintiff’s mother, allowed and encouraged other male persons whose identities are at present unknown to engage in sexual acts as defined in New York Penal Law, specifically 130.52 (forcible touching), and 130.65 (sexual assault in the first degree), while Plaintiff was approximately 10 years of age. Defendant also forced Plaintiff to witness adults engaged in sexual acts with both adults and children during middle-of-the-night satanic worship meetings that included ritual sacrifices.”

Alison is said to be making use of New York’s Child Victims Act (it allows a temporary waiver over the statute of limitations in underage-sex cases) in order to proceed with suing her mother. According to her, the resulting trauma has caused her to experience PTSD, depression and was the main factor that pushed her to do drugs.

The eldest of the Carey brood (the second being their brother Morgan and youngest being Mariah) has a tumulous history. The Carey siblings were subjected to racial abuse as a result of their mixed ethnicity (their father is African-American and Afro-Venezuelan while their mother is of Irish descent). After their parents’ divorce when Alison was 11 (and Mariah was three), Alison went on to live with their father Alfred (an aeronautical engineer), while Morgan and Mariah stayed with their mother Patricia (a former opera singer and vocal coach). In a , Alison said she and her sister were raised very differently, which made her “jealous.”

Afterwards, at age 15,  Alison got married, had a son and dropped out of high school. From then on, she found work as a prostitute, got married a second time, had a second child and tested HIV positive. It was soon revealed that the sisters had fallen out in 1991. However, when Alison was arrested for prostitution in 2005, that did not stop Alison from going back to prostitution – of which she said, “I didn’t have any experience doing anything. I knew I had to get a job, but I couldn’t find one,” – as recently as in 2016. What’s more, Alison was caught after she posted an ad with lyrics similar to that of Mariah’s hit “Fantasy”. The ad read,

Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just cant provide two you, woman with the ability to make the earth move for you and to get you to see stars, oh yea with me its,. ITS SUCH A SWEET,SWEET FANTASY BABY, WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I COME AND TAKE YOU ON AND ON.”

At the same time, a home invasion attack (where a man with a baseball bat entered her apartment) left Alison needing expensive brain and spine surgery. After the attack, Alison was forced into a mental hospital. The Daily Mail released a video of Alison calling on her famous sister Mariah for help, pleading:

“Mariah I love you, and I desperately need your help, please don’t abandon me like this.”

However, reps for Mariah have stated time and time again that the “Vision of Love” superpower has been supporting Alison throughout the years. Mariah, who is worth US$300 Million, is said to have been paying for Alison’s stints in rehab back in the 2000s (as she struggled with drug abuse).

Mariah Carey, who has been open with her struggle with bipolar II disorder, has not spoken much about her family, much less her sister. However, during an interview in 1998, Mariah talked about how watching her sister Alison spiral out of control was “a very difficult thing to see” but that it was a wake-up call for what she herself did not want her life to turn into. She said,

That’s why I’ll never be a promiscuous person, I’ll never be on drugs, I’ll never be too out of it to know what I’m doing or getting myself into. And because I saw all these things growing up, I went the other way.”

In a separate interview, Mariah said of her sister,

[Alison’s troubles] turned me into a very guarded person, and a very prudish person on a lot of levels. I don’t think it’s for me to feel guilty about decisions that other people made with their lives. I do as much, privately, as anybody would do for people who have not been very considerate of me, to put it mildly.”
