Instagram’s Decision To Remove The Following Tab Feature Is Pretty Simple
ICYMI Instagram has removed the “Following Tab” on its social media platform. If you weren’t aware of this feature, it actually allows users to see the activity of the accounts they follow. Before it was taken off the site, the “Following Tab” could be accessed via the Activity Page by tapping the word Following.
What does this mean for Instagram users?
Today is a really sad day for all us ladies because the stalker tab, I mean following tab has been removed on Instagram and I can no longer see what my man who’s not really my man is liking on there… now I have no reason to start random fights!?! Wow y’all played me Instagram.

Basically, you’re now free to like and follow any accounts without stalkers knowing of your recent activity. Reactions from the public were hilarious!
There’s a good reason as to why Instagram decided to remove that particular feature
According to Instagram’s head of product Vishal Shah, the tab was removed for the sake of simplicity, and to cut down on a feature that most people didn’t know existed.
Instagram removed “following activity” tab and I ain’t even notice bc I really don’t be checking for what people be doing lol

Shah told Buzzfeed News, “People didn’t always know that their activity is surfacing. So you have a case where it’s not serving the use case you built if for, but it’s also causing people to be surprised when their activity is showing up.”

Oh well, not many of us knew or even use the “Following Tab” feature – That is unless you’re using it to check on your boo’s activity if he’s liked some random girl’s photo!
What about you? Are you sad or feeling ‘meh’ about Instagram’s decision to remove the “Following Tab”?
