We’d layer concealers on our skin just to hide all the blemishes and imperfections on our skin. Which sometimes, if we’re not careful, can be quite patchy – especially if we’re not covering the concealers with foundation. Thankfully, there’s a way for you to minimize all that thick layers of makeup on your skin, by micro-concealing!

What is Micro-concealing all about?

This new IT makeup technique is an effortless way for you to conceal breakouts or uneven skin tone without suffocating your face with products. You get to cover the spots seamlessly into the skin that it’s somewhat skin-like and natural.We all know, no matter how many times we’ve conceal that zit, it’ll still be popped up! Well, don’t worry because all you need is a thin makeup brush to apply the concealer into small dots on your face.

Step 1: Choose a needle-thin makeup brush. 

While using a finger maybe the easiest way to do it, you may also risk smudging the concealer on areas that don’t need concealing. Apply the product gently into tiny dots on each spots. Then blend the product on your skin with very little pressure using the brush. To set, pat the spot with your fingers softly.  Some brushes that you might like are Zoeva 316 Classic Liner and Sigma Beauty E10 Small Eye Liner Brush.

Step 2: Find the perfect shade 

According to Mario Dedivanovic, he tells Byrdie that for this technique to blend correctly, “color matching is so important.” Because you’re dotting your blemishes, you want that coverage to be seamless and blends to the point of invisibility. Get a few a shades if you have uneven skin tone. These are some suggestions, Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer and Cover FX Power Play Concealer

Remember, less is more!

For this technique, you’ll only need the teeniest tiniest amount of product. Imagine the amount of concealers you’ll be able to maximize! Also, remember the key word here for you to master the micro-concealing technique is feathering. Just like how you watch those MUAs gently hold the brush at the end and brushes the face! Holding the brush at the end will make you have less control and less pressure when applying.
