Henry Golding Stars In Heartwarming Christmas Film “Last Christmas”
What’s better than a Christmas movie on Christmas day?
Well, the answer is a Christmas movie starring our local faves! Henry Golding from Crazy Rich Asians and award-winning Malaysian actress Datuk Michelle Yeoh star alongside Game Of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke in “Last Christmas.”
Directed by Paul Feig, the British-American romantic comedy is more than just your typical Christmas tale though, it’s just as heartwarming.
Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen in GOT now plays the character of Kate, a girl who works as Santa’s elf in a department store that is owned by Michelle Yeoh’s character – she’s a pretty formidable boss.
Sounds typical but did we mention that Kate used to have a life-threatening illness? Now you know. From the trailer, it appears as though she hasn’t fully recovered yet.
Set in London, Kate’s life begins to change just as she meets Tom, a character played by Henry Golding. The movie features the music of the late George Micheal, so his fans will be pleased.
Meanwhile, fans of the up-and-coming Christmas movie have speculated that Henry Golding’s character could be a ghost, based on the trailer of the movie. No-one other than Kate appears to speak to him or acknowledge his presence.
But we’ll never know for sure until we actually watch the movie, which premieres on the 14th of November. It’s about two months away, and we can’t wait!
For those who can’t wait, here’s the official trailer to give you a hint as to what the movie will be like:
