Cathryn Lee Posts “I Am Sorry” After Fat-Shaming Size M Girls

Remember the fitness model/influencer with over 1.1 Million followers on Instagram, who fat-shamed people in size M? Well since deactivating her account due to the posting she made over it, she has recently resurfaced with a public apology to her “friends, family, and supporters”.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Cathryn Lee apologised for the insensitive comment made a couple of weeks ago. She said, “It was a highly offensive and insensitive post, and I am deeply sorry for the hurt, anger, and disappointment I have caused you.”

She continued that it was never her intention for making such a remark, saying, “The post was intended for my model friends who like me, despite being of a healthy weight in the past, has previously unable to secure a modelling job due to the size criteria imposed.”

“Not only was the tone of my message offensive, I was encouraging friends to conform to an unhealthy beauty standard, which I have imposed also on myself.”

Fans seem to have also forgiven her over the fat-shaming comment.

Her post has since garnered 35, 760 likes and counting. Need to catch up on the Cathryn Lee story? You can read the full story right here.
