Be A Greek Goddess In Alia Bastamam’s “Babylon” Collection

Are you in search of the perfect wedding gown to complement your dream wedding? Alia Bastamam may just have the white dress you’ve been looking for.

Winner of 2017’s KL Fashion Week ” Designer of the Year”, looks like Alia has done it again with her latest garments. She stunned fashionistas and fashion lovers with her latest bridal line, Alia Bastamam’s Atelier & Bridal 2019/2020 collection – The Garden of Babylon’s.

Elegantly designed, she captured the essence of a Babylonian woman with a modern twist. It showed sensual liberty and pure innocence of the ancient world’s greatness.

Alia Bastamam’s Atelier & Bridal collection accentuates a woman’s figure with its flowy, soft fabric.

The collection also feature lots of draping technique that’s incorporated into the dresses — but of course, what’s important is that it will make one feel like a true queen on her big day!

“I like the unexpected results when draping pleats – it moves and falls naturally, but the folds where the pleats break have an architectural quality that balances off the sweetness of a design.” [email protected] on #aliababylon techniques. Images photographed by @biboaswan

She said, “But I wanted to see beyond their beauty. I looked deeper and into our fascinating female qualities, which we shouldn’t be afraid to lay bare, like our innocence and bravery.”

The designer added, “Melding the inner facets of a woman with my own idea of this ‘Garden’, I’ve created looks that strike a chord with me. The two collections I’ve been working on speak for two female characteristics I relate to – sensual liberty and pure innocence.”

But if you’re not into the whole white wedding look, Alia also went bold with colours like red, black and baby blue.

Damn. Even though none of us are getting married soon, it’s hard for us to fight the urge to order one right now!
