3 Hacks To Get A Stronger, Healthier Body

We all dream of having a stronger, healthier body. It’s just not that easy to work for it.

Unfortunately, in an ideal world, we’d have the bodies that we want, but for now, working for it is key. Thankfully, it’s not as hard as we imagine, and it gets easier when you see the Insta-worthy results.

Your body is a temple, so here are three hacks to take care of it.

1. Get physical

We mean it! Pushing yourself to get out and start training your body to become stronger is one of the most challenging (but definitely most worth it) part of becoming physically fit. Eventually, your body starts to get used to the rhythm of working out, no matter which exercise method you choose.

Some of us get inspired by watching films, and there’s no better time than now to watch Wira, a local film directed by Adrian Teh, who also helmed the box office record-breaking movie, Paskal. The action-packed film stars your local faves like Hairul Azreen, Fify Azmi, Dain Iskandar, Yayan Ruhian and Ismi Melinda.

The MMA-based film tells a tale of ex-military personnel Hassan (Hairul Azreen), who goes home to settle a debt owed by his sister Zain (Fify Azmi) to Raja (Dain Iskandar) in an MMA match. Of course, there’s more to this story than meets the eye. Hassan escaped the injustice towards himself and wants to save his family in the process, so will Zain’s debt drag him back to despair? The duo will be fighting an intimidating pair, Vee (Ismi Melinda) and Rayyan (Josiah Hogan), who are the children of Raja.

Wira will be screening in cinemas all over Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei from the 21st of November, so grab your popcorn and support our local film industry.

2. Drink water infused with peppermint

OMG, did you know that drinking water infused with peppermint leaves could make your workout so much better? The mint has been proven to relax muscles, improve oxygen flow to the brain, and increase pain tolerance, which makes it all better for exercising when minutes tend to feel like years.

3. Eat better, but don’t deprive yourself of the very occasional treat

Part of becoming physically fit is watching what you eat, so bring out the good oat recipes, salads, fruits, chicken breasts, and low-calorie options, because honey, we’ve got some work to do.

Bear in mind that being fit doesn’t mean that you’ll have to deprive yourself of the fun stuff, like alcohol or sugar. It just means that you have these in moderation. After all, you’ve gone this far and worked so hard for this body. A slice of cake once in a while wouldn’t mean that you’re giving up. Just start strong again tomorrow morning.
